Crescent Cheese Danishes (myincrediblerecipes)

Danishes

2 Crescent Roll tubes
1­ 8 oz pkg Philly cream cheese, softened
2 T butter, melted
1 t lemon juice
1/4 c light brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 t Vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 F. In a medium bowl, use a mixer to combine the softened cream cheese, lemon juice, vanilla and white sugar until well combined. Set aside. Open crescent roll tubes but do not unroll them. Using a sharp knife cut through them­, slicing them a good 1/4″ thick. Lay each slice on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Use your fingers or a small measuring cup to create a small wall around the edge (to hold the filling). Using a brush, take the melted butter and add in the light brown sugar and mix. Brush the mix over each danish. Dollop even amounts of the filling into each of the danishes. Bake at 350 for 16 – ­18 min or until slightly golden brown. Let cool and drizzle glaze over warm danish. Top with desired filling.

Glaze

1/2 c powdered sugar
1 t Vanilla
4 t milk

In a small bowl combine ingredients and stir until smooth.

cherry, blueberry or strawberry filling
