Pecan Cobbler Dump Cake (callmepmc)

6 T butter, no substitutions
1 c pecans
1 1/2 c self-rising flour
1 1/2 c sugar
2/3 c milk (more if needed)
1 t vanilla
1 1/2 c packed light brown sugar
1 1/2 c hot water

Preheat oven to 350 F. Add butter to a 9 x 13″ cake pan or casserole dish and melt in the oven. Once butter is melted, sprinkle the pecans over butter. In a bowl mix flour, sugar, milk and vanilla. Stir to combine, but don’t over-mix. Pour batter over butter and pecans, do not mix. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over batter, do not stir. Carefully pour the hot water over the mix; do not stir. Bake 30 – 35 min or until golden brown. Note: Do not reduce either the brown sugar, amount of butter or the hot water.
